Please note that your Online Application and References will not be processed until you attend a New Member Orientation, sign a Member Agreement and pay your Membership Dues.

You can pay your membership dues with a PayPal account, Debit Card or  Credit Card if you prefer.  Please note that payment processing fees will be applied.

1. Online Member Application
The online application can be filled out and submitted at any time. Your application will not be processed until after you attended an Orientation and complete all membership requirements.  Click on the “Online Application” button on the top of the page to go to the online application.  Please fill out all the requested information.  After you submit your application, we will email you a confirmation acknowledging receipt of your application and request confirmation of your email address.

2. Two Personal References
Two personal references are required on the application form.  Please provide current and valid email addresses and phone numbers for each reference.  We ask three short, simple questions.  It is not a background check, a professional reference check, or used in any way to determine your ability to provide a service.

3.Application Confirmation
We will send you an email confirmation when we receive your application.

.  New Member Orientation
New Member Orientations take place the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice from 6pm to 8pm. 
We explain how the exchange works and how you can become a member. If you are unable to attend the Orientation please contact us so we can schedule you for an alternative date and time.  For more information and directions click here:

5.  $25.00 Annual Membership Dues
Most of the work to run ABQ Hours is done by members volunteering services for which they earn time credit.  Expenses such as office supplies, website hosting, outreach and event supplies need to be paid.  Membership dues can be paid in cash, check, or money order and can be paid at an Orientation or mailed. If your financial situation makes it difficult to pay your membership dues ABQ Hours does offer a reduced membership with additional hours helping the exchange. Please contact a coordinator for more details.

We require every member to volunteer at least 2 hours every year to help run the organization. You can help with one of our teams, community potluck, orientations or a community event.


6.  Member Agreement

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of ABQ Hours.
